摩登的台南驛前人潮絡繹不絕，兩名男子頻頻看錶，一會兒朋友乘著人力車趕到：「抱歉抱歉，我之前就一直覺得手錶怪怪的啊！」三人會合後，一同從台南搭乘急行列車，踏上愉快的旅程。
這部融入劇情的《愉悅之旅》，記錄當年鐵道部招牌的急行列車：最新型的C55型蒸汽機關車，除了介紹「如何搭乘火車」外，還側記了行李房、行李車等旅客服務，以及不同領域的鐵道工作，包括火車頭維修、車廂清洗、機關車在台北（車站）扇形車庫前轉向、人工拋接路牌、道班工舉起十字鎬砸道（軌道養護）等珍貴畫面。
The modern Tainan Railway Station is bustling with activity. Two men keep checking their watches anxiously. After a short while, their friend arrives in a rickshaw, apologizing, "Sorry, sorry! There must be something wrong with my watch!" Once the three meet up, they board an express train from Tainan and set off on a pleasant journey.
The narrative-driven film A Pleasant Journey showcases the Railway Department's flagship express train of the era: the latest C55-class steam locomotive. Beyond illustrating how to travel by train, it offers viewers a glimpse into passenger services, including the baggage room and baggage cars, as well as various railway operations. These scenes depict locomotive maintenance, carriage washing, turning a locomotive on the turntable in front of the fan-shaped roundhouse at Taipei Station, employees tossing and catching the electric train token, and track workers using pickaxes to maintain the rails. Collectively, these moments offer a valuable record of railway life during that period.
